WHAT IS GUM PAIN
The gums or gingiva (plural: gingivae), consist of the mucosal tissue that lies over the mandible and maxilla inside the mouth. Gum health and disease can have an effect on general health. The gums are part of the soft tissue lining of the mouth. They surround the teeth and provide a seal around them. Unlike the soft tissue linings of the lips and cheeks, most of the gums are tightly bound to the underlying bone which helps resist the friction of food passing over them. When the practice of proper dental hygiene is neglected, bacteria in the mouth form plaque on the teeth. These bacteria may cause the gums to become inflamed, which results in red, swollen, or bleeding gums.
SYMPTOMS OF GUM PAIN
Pain of the gums may portray symptom such as
• Painful gums
• Sensitivity
• Redness
• Swelling
• Bleeding of the gums
GUM PAIN
When healthy, the gum presents an effective barrier to the barrage of periodontal insults to deeper tissue. Healthy gums are usually coral pink in light skinned people, but may be naturally darker with melanin pigmentation.
Changes in colour, particularly increased redness, together with swelling and an increased tendency to bleed, suggest an inflammation that is possibly due to the accumulation of bacterial plaque. Overall, the clinical appearance of the tissue reflects the underlying histology, both in health and disease. When gum tissue is not healthy, it can provide a gateway for periodontal disease to advance into the deeper tissue of the periodontium, leading to a poorer prognosis for long-term retention of the teeth. Both the type of periodontal therapy and homecare instructions given to patients by dental professionals and restorative care are based on the clinical conditions of the tissue. Healthy gums usually have no reaction to normal disturbance such as brushing or periodontal probing. Unhealthy gums, conversely, will show bleeding on probing (BOP) and/or purulent exudate.
ACTION:
Toothache healing mechanism involves the inflammatory process, which is the same in almost the entire body.
In particular in both skin and mucosa (both referred to as “epithelial” tissues), when there is a break, platelets and clotting factors clot off any bleeding vessels, white blood cells (neutrophils and macrophages in particular) collect and destroy any bacteria, dead cells and muck, and then the process of regeneration occurs (with on-going inflammation), where stem cells in the surrounding tissue regrow cells, new blood vessels may be formed and scar tissue is laid down to give extra strength. Eventually after these stages of healing, there is “remodelling” where the structure basically gets better.
Natural anti-inflammatory extracts contain in Teetho can treat bacteria, reducing gum inflammation, desensitizing and helps in reemphasizing tooth into its socket by tightening the gum muscle and heal wounded area. Gently massage the gums with Gammo (which contain the following active ingredient) to get the following benefits:

• Turmeric: anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibiotic.
• Aloe Vera: anti-inflammatory, which is good for those who suffer from gingivitis or periodontics.
