It’s so gentle to the skin which makes it suitable as a daily exfoliating scrub. It can also double as a facial scrub and a cleanser due to its deep cleansing actions.
After face scrub use, you will notice a face brightening effect which makes you more glows and radiant. Besides its whitening effects, it is also the best pore scrub that deeply penetrates the skin layer to remove dirt and impurities.
It is also a natural face exfoliator that only uses natural plant-based ingredients, hence making it a suitable face scrub for dry sensitive skin.
THE NORMAL EXFOLIATION PROCESS
Typically, skin cells grow deep in the skin and slowly rise to the surface. Eventually, they became outworn and shed from the skin’s surface and this skin cell’s life cycle will took about a month although it can be prolonged in aging and other skin conditions. Therefore, cosmetic exfoliation methods can be integrated into skincare routine to improve the complexion especially for those with hyper pigmentation problem. Face scrub helps to do this.
BIO ACTIVES In SKIN ANTI PIGMENTATION CREAM
Morus alba (white mulberry): has the ability to inhibit melanogenesis (melanin production).
It contains resveratrol, which protects the skin from harmful UV rays. Morus alba contains abundant of antioxidants, which are great anti-aging agents. The antioxidants in Morus alba such as beta-carotene neutralize the free radicals that damage skin and cause fine lines. It also provides vitamins A, C and E that keep the skin blooming and wrinkles free. The antioxidants in Morus alba also prevent the occurrence of blemishes on the skin, regulate the melanin synthesis in the skin, which naturally clears off the dark spots and aids in moisturize, unclog pores, and remove toxins from the skin, keeping it fresh and vibrant. Lack of Vitamins A and E cause dry skin. Morus alba are rich in those vitamins, and help in treating dry and delicate skin. They hydrate the skin from within and soothe the irritated skin.
Oryza sativa (rice) bran: is rich in inositol and gamma oryzanol which is a potent anti-oxidants and act as nourishing moisturisers. It is a vital source of vitamins A, B2, B12 and E, as well as naturally moisturizing proteins.
Glycyrrhiza glabra (liquorice): is anti-inflammatory in nature and is very useful in balancing out the hormonal levels in a woman’s body especially oestrogen. Oestrogen is the hormone responsible for the acne outbreak in women. Liquorice extract is obtained from the root of Glycyrrhiza glabra. The main component of the hydrophobic fraction of liquorice is glabridin. Glabridin has been shown to prevent UVB-induced pigmentation and to inhibit tyrosinase activity, superoxide anion production and cyclo-oxygenase activity. This suggests an influence of glabridin extract on both melanogenesis and inflammation of the skin.
Other active agents of liquorice extracts include liquiritin and isoliquertin. Liquiritin is a glycoside containing flavonoid that induces skin lightening by dispersing melanin. Flavonoids are natural plant polyphenols found in leaves, bark and flowers. It have been identified that liquorice contain benzo-γ-pyran derivate comprised of phenolic and pyran rings. These polyphenolic compounds are known to have anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antioxidant and anticarcinogenic properties.
Flavonoids may have hypo pigmenting capabilities by directly inhibiting tyrosinase activity at distal portions of the melanogenic pathway. Liquorice extracts also influence pigmentation by removing epidermal melanin, inhibiting the biosynthesis of melanin and inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase in a dose-dependent manner. Liquorice extract has been tested in the treatment of melasma with good results and very mild irritation.
Clay: possess healing and detoxification properties. Clays work by drawing toxins (such as free radicals, heavy metals and chemicals) toward it, then binding them through electrical charges. This pulls the toxins away from whatever surface they are on, and as they hang on to the clay they are washed away as the clay is washed away. It’s a natural way to rid a toxin on tne skin surface.
Malpighia glabra (acerolla): has high vitamin C concentration. It functions as antioxidant which protect against free radical damage that can accelerate skin aging. It also has the ability to even skin tone and brighten skin, boosting production of collagen and elastin and also increasing the ability of skin to retain moisture. Acerola contains mineral salts, which has shown to aid in the demineralization of tired and stressed skin as well as benefit in increasing the hydration of skin.
